Welcome to the Young Mind Activities section of the Belgian Physical Society (BPS) and embark on a journey of scientific exploration and collaboration between passionate physicists from undergraduates to postdocs.

We are a team of active PhD students and postdocs that organize events at the Department of Physics at the University of Antwerp.
These events include departmental colloquia and workshops, but also visits to research labs and outreach activities. Our goal is to bring people interested in physics together, so that they can broaden their knowledge and learn new skills.

Based in the vibrant academic environment of UCLouvain in Louvain-la-Neuve, the goal of our local Young Minds section is to foster scientific curiosity, networking, and outreach activities. In this spirit, we organise various events throughout the year such as PhD seminars, physics quiz or conferences for the general public.

Liège’s Young Minds section focuses on the development of numerous activities for events all along the year. Spring of Science in March, Researcher’s night in September, outreach in bars in April and scientific movies in May, we’re there! Most of our activities are designed for young students and general public, but we’ve developed some for very different publics, from 3 years old to classes of physics teachers. Astrophysics and related topics are our main outreach fields as these constitute the research speciality for most of our members. We’re always open to new opportunities to share our passion for science and outreach, so don’t hesitate to reach us to discuss any idea or proposition!
