SUMMARY:21st International Congress on Plasma Physics (ICPP 2024)
DESCRIPTION:The conference will address a wide range of topics in the field of plasma physics\, covering fundamental plasma physics\, fusion plasmas\, laser-plasma interaction\, plasma accelerators\, astrophysical and space plasmas\, applications of plasmas and plasma technology\, complex plasmas\, high energy density plasmas and quantum plasmas. \nSince the inauguration in Nagoya (1980)\, the ICPP has been held at Gothenburg (1982)\, Lausanne (1984)\, Kiev (1987)\, New Delhi (1989)\, Innsbruck (1992)\, Foz-do-Iguaçu (1994)\, Nagoya (1996)\, Prague (1998)\, Quebec (2000)\, Sydney (2002)\, Nice (2004)\, Kiev (2006)\, Fukuoka (2008)\, Santiago (2010)\, Stockholm (2012)\, Lisboa (2014)\, Kaohsiung (2016)\, Vancouver (2018) and Gyeongju (2022). \nThe Program Committee is composed of 8 sub-committees (10 members each) in the areas of i) Magnetic Confinement Plasmas\, ii) Laser and Beam Plasmas\, iii) Space Plasmas\, iv) Astrophysical Plasmas\, v) Basic Plasma Physics\, vi) Plasma Diagnostics & Space Instrumentation\, vii) Low Temperature and Dusty Plasmas\, viii) Plasma Applications. \nCurrently\, the International Advisory Committee (IAC) is composed of 46 members. \nThe Local Organizing Committee consists of the members of the Research Unit Nuclear Fusion (infusion) and the Research Unit Plasma Technology (RUPT) in the Department of Applied Physics at Ghent University. \nSponsored by the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP) \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n	\n	\n	\n \n\n \n \n Registrations are closed for this event.

SUMMARY:Belgian Photonics Online Meetup
DESCRIPTION:The goal of bePOM is to strengthen the Belgian photonics network\, associating research groups from all the universities in Belgium working on fundamental and applied topics in photonics. It will give the opportunity to early career and established researchers to (re-)discover and learn about the ongoing research topics in the Belgian cities next-door\, without moving from their home universities. \nA 2-day free event | One day online – One day hybrid online/on site @VUB
